Greetings and welcome to my website. My name is Darin Fournier. I'm 29 years old and living in Timmins, Ontario in Canada. I am a little uncomfortable going on about myself, but formal introductions are in order. So bare with me.......I'll try to make this as quick and painless as possible. I work in a retail environment managing a home electronics department. Of course, I'm a little disillusioned by this job. It's a far cry from a noble quest. Even farther from some greater purpose. If you know me you know that these things are important to me. So I'm making alternative plans. What I haven't said yet is that I'm Christian.......decidedly Baptist. I teach Sunday School to our church teens. I am an eccentric who sees himself the manifest soldier of Christ. As romantic and delusional as that sounds........that's me in a nut shell (no pun intended). You might say I'm a rogue theologian. I'm told I'm a gifted teacher. I don't know about that. I just awoke one day like out of a deep slumber........and there was a profound hunger for wisdom and truth, and I've never been satisfied since....... ever the restless sentinel. I find myself content in my restlessness, if that's any consolation. Anyways, the future offers much hope for my hunger as I intend to pursue my education. My ultimate goal is to obtain a masters degree in theology (God willing). That's a six year stretch at best, so i figure the best attitude i can take is to stay in the now. Which leads me to why I'm creating this page. I want to offer a place on the net where sanctuary is provided. A place to be encouraged and comforted. You see........I am recently seperated and I feel the loss of my family. I know about your wounds because I'm tending a few of my own and dealing with my own failures. You aren't alone. Life is an epic battle with many casualties. I refuse to become a statistic. This page will consist mostly of my thoughts, meditations and prayers. I hope they will be some comfort to you.
